Okoumé strong>, from the rosy roses to the dark red, grayish white (well-distinguished) white sapwood; medium texture, fibers with significant truncated differences: sometimes straight, sometimes wavy or even braided. Clown Aucoumea (Angouma, Gaboon, Okoumé) is a tree of the Burseraceae family originating in West Tropical Africa and particularly in Gabon, Spanish Guinea, Cameroon and the Congo. It is a medium sized tree that grows up to 30-40 meters, rarely larger, with a trunk diameter up to 2/5 meters; it is very abundant and it exports more gaboon / okumè than any other African wood.
